The idea to erect the largest monument of Hanumanji at Devdharam Tekri originated with Indore mayor Kailash Vijayvargiya in 2002. Thus, he implored the city's residents to plant a sapling atop "Pitra Parvat" in memory of their departed family members, which would be tended to by the Indore Municipal Corporation staff. A survey indicates that there are about one lack of seedlings planted here.

These impressive shows, costing 2 crores and imported from Germany, highlight the deity’s seated position with images of Hanuman Chalisa, creating a stunning atmosphere. The evening display is enhanced by five tall masts that provide constant illumination.
